Safety Plan

The swim will take place in the Bayview Glen pool in waves of 10-12 participants per wave (2 kids per lane). There will be lifeguards as well as volunteers.

The bike and run routes will be staffed by volunteers every 75 metres or so. Police will be stopping traffic on park roads during the bike & run. EMS will be available throughout.

Please note this is a rain or shine event.

Washroom Facilities

Washrooms (portable toilets) are available at 225 Duncan Mills and Bayview Glen school.

Start/Finish

The start/finish and transition zone is between Bayview Glen and 225 Duncanmill road.

Parking

Event parking will be in the parking garage at 105 Moatfield Drive. For convenience we have also arranged for a separate bike drop-off area directly across the street from the main event site. Because of the traffic in and out of the parking garage, it is highly recommended that all families drop off their bikes first.

The recommended route to the bike drop-off is via Moatfield Drive from Don Mills Road (first stop light north of York Mills). Access from Lesmill Road and Valleybrook Drive to Moatfield Drive will be possible but will be slower because Valleybrook Drive will be single-lane access only.

Race Kit Pick Up

At the race site of 225 Duncan Mills, Saturday of the race weekend from 1:00 – 4:00 or before noon on Race day.

Race Day Instructions

It is recommended to arrive 1 hour prior to the race time for your age group. Arrival times are posted in the Race Weekend Guide.

Timing chips will be distributed at the swim start 20 minutes before each wave. Waves will be announced throughout the afternoon.
